Pianist Masaé Gimbayashi-Barbotte　バルボット成江

Masaé Gimbayashi-Barbotte a commencé le piano classique à l’âge de 5 ans.
Après avoir obtenu sa Maîtrise és sciences humaines(Bachelor of Arts degree, spécialisée de la litterature française) à l’International Christian University au Japon, elle a obtenu le Diplôme d’Enseignement de Piano à l’unanimité avec les félicitations du jury à l’Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris/Alfred Cortot.

Très tôt attirée par la littérature et la musique classique et le jazz, elle cherche le chemin qui se croise.
Elle est lauréate du Premier Prix du Concours Madeleine de Valmalete à l’unanimité avec les félicitations du jury, du prix belge de l’Académie Européenne des Arts, du prix d’Excellence de l’Asia International Music Concert (Japon) , du diplôme d'Etat française professeur de piano.

Perfectionne auprès de Jay Gottlieb, ancien disciple de Nadia Boulanger et de Robert Casadesus pendant plus que 10 ans. Il dit à son propos : «Elle possède la capacité d’emmagasiner et de conjuguer des cosmos divers et d’en faire la magie. Elle est une vrai artiste.»
Elle a en outre travaillé avec les pianistes Serge Petitgirard, Victoria Melki, Shizuko Stienne, et reçu des masterclasses de Catherine Collard, Dominique Merlet, Claude Helfer, Yvonne Loriod, Pieere-Laurent Aimard et Martial Solal.

Masaé se produit en Europe et au Japon, Etats-Unis, invitée aux Festivals comme Normandie Impressionniste, Festival Albert Roussel, Bray normand jazz festival, 150e anniversaire d'amitiés franco-japonaise, 150e d'ouverture du port d'Yokohama...
Il y a trois cds qui témoignent ses récitals au Japon(Soleil Music Agency). Le nouvel album sortira en 2016.

Masaé est dédicataire et créatrice des oeuvres de compositeurs comme Fumio Yasuda, Christian Tournay, Michel Bosc, Serge Ollive, Nickos Harizanos, Colette Mourray, Ittetsu Shimizu.
Elle a enseigné aux Conservatoires de Chartres et de Beauvais, et enseigne aux écoles de musiques en Seine-Maritime et dans l'Oise-Normandie.
Membre du jury du concours de piano «Pianoopen» à Mérignac en 2009, Enkor international competition depuis 2015.

In English : Masae Gimbayashi-Barbotte was born in Tokyo, she started learning the piano at the age of 6, she gave her first public performance at the age of 7. Recipiant of Bachelor of Arts degree of International Christian University in Tokyo. In 1992 she received Piano’s Education Diploma in Unanimity with jury’s congratulation from Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris/ Alfred Cortot, where she worked with pianists as Serge Petitgirard, Victoria Melki, and with violinist Serge Blanc. Since then she worked closely for over 10 years with pianist Jay Gottlieb, disciple of Nadia Boulanger and Robert Casadessus. She took also advises from Catherine Collard, Yvonne Loriod, Dominique Merlet, Claude Heifer, Pierre-Laurent Aimed and Martial Solal.

Masae Gimbayashi-Barbotte is a laureate of First Prize of the Concours de Madeleine de Valmalete(France) in Unanimity with jury’s congratulation, Excellent Prize of Asia International Music Concert (Japan), Belgian Section’s Prize of the Academie Européenne des Arts(France). She is also a recipient of the Flaine Music Festival’s funds, the Acanthe Festival’s funds,

She gives concerts in France, Japan, and in Europe, USA. She is highly appreciated by opera singers, instrumentalists. Each of these collaborations is highly appreciated by the audience.

She has given and continues to give world premiers of works, for exemple: For Piano of Fumio Yasuda (written for and dedicated to Masae), Three Landscapes (dedicated to Masae), Quasi sonata, White lullaby, Monographs I (dedicated to Masae) of Nickos Harizanos, Premiers Chrétiens (dedicated to Masae) of Michel Bosc, 9 Esquises of Serge Ollive, Dieu? of Christian Tournay.

She taught in Coservatories of Chartres and of Beauvais, and was also as a maitre cantor of singer’s class in Chartres, Amiens. Actually she is professor and maître cantor of Music schools in Oise-Normandie and in Seine-Maritime, . She is also invited as a jury of concours ‘Pianoopen’ and as a member of jury in the grade tests of Music schools in those regions. Member of Japanese Musicians’ Federation.

3 CDs are recorded of her recitals in Tokyo (Soleil Music Agency) and a CD is recorded in Paris, St.Marcel Church.
