OKO TYGRA

Denverʼs OKO TYGRA is the dark and dreamy creation of intrepid Denver songwriter, Joshua Novak. After suffering an accident that left him with a head injury and threatened his life, Novak came to the conclusion that something had to change. Thus, OKO TYGRA was born. In their short time together, they have headlined all their first shows, opened for national acts like Pure Bathing Culture, SEOUL, Ballet School and HIGH ENDS and were accepted into CMJ in New York in 2014 & 2015, making them the only band to represent Denver in the 2014 showcase.

OKO TYGRA released a 7ʼʼ vinyl on EggHunt Records in March of 2015, which they recorded with Snake Rattle Rattle Snakeʼs, Wilson Helmericks. The songs of the Glass Jaw/Plasticine 7" evoke British dream-pop pioneers, Cocteau Twins and Slowdive. 2017 will welcome their second release with Jorge Elbrecht (Lansing-Dreiden / Ariel Pink / Coral Cross).
