About this concert
'Spooky, pointillist, strings-driven pastoralia: beautiful stuff' The Sunday Times'a curious, idiosyncratic piece of artful pop. Psychedelic in a very English way, it's a literate return, one imbued with remarkable depth.' Clash'Rotating angles, interwoven human poses, graceful and elegant choreography, Cheshire laid and surrounded by visual hints including the works of satirist Karl Kraus and his newspaper Die Fackel.the video is a thing of great beauty, refined and shot through with just the right dose of mystery.' FRUKElegantemotivepsychedelic **** Mojo"with his breathy Ian McCulloch-style croona burnished psychedelia creeps into the mix and takes this music to the skies." Uncut" an inspired combination, Cheshire's precisely enunciated Nick Drake-like vocals and non-rhyming, allusive lyrics in tense and absorbing combat with the band's expansive sound picturesAn artist crying out for a bigger audience." Jack Cheshire Biography

Jack Cheshire's music has evolved from minimal lo-fi psych folk to multi-layered shimmering art pop // space rock with an esoteric singular sound. His live show has led him to share bills with luminary peers Songhoy Blues and Josh T Pearson, and grace the stages of Green Man Festival and The Kings Place. The ghosts of Broadcast, Nick Drake, and Syd Barrett skirt the edges of his songs, embellished by what Uncut magazine calls an 'Ian McCulloch-style croon', with a 'burnished psychedelia [that] takes this music to the skies’. He released his 2020 album ‘Fractal Future Plays’ to universal press and radio acclaim, with support from the likes of 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne, Mark Radcliffe, KEXP's Kevin Cole, and Absolute Radio's Frank Skinner.

'Lyrically, melodically & sonically compelling…born out of strange & altered inner states.’
★★★★ MOJO

'An artist who’s been making fantastic music for a while...consistently releasing great records...I reckon this might be his best yet. Absolutely loving this'
Lauren Laverne, BBC Radio 6 Music

'Cosmic, dystopian folkadelica...tracks wrap twangy desert-psych around sleepy Ian McCulloch-meets-Lou Reed vocals. Fans...will find much to warm their cockles during the long, cold winter ahead.'
Shindig! Magazine

...absolutely brilliant. I recommend it to you unreservedly.'
Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 6 Music

'a voyager out in the best traditions of a very British strain of pastorally inflected psychedelia... for lovers of beautiful and mysterious, graceful rock' 8.3/10 Backseat Mafia

‘…exquisite…dreamlike and beautiful’.
