Deja Fuze Biography

The story of Deja Fuze began one cold winter day in January 2009, in Buffalo, NY. The original four (Jake & Josh Cavinder, Keith Harry, Joe Lewis) came together that day for a jam session, but what came out ended being Some Sort of Green, the very first song the group ever put forward. It was from that moment they knew, this was the band they were searching for.

For Deja Fuze, 2009 was the year of growth and definition. As they played shows around the Western New York area at venues such as The Tralf Music Hall, Nietzche's, Weekend Off Festival, and Utica Music Fest they turned heads and made marks wherever they went.

That first year of not stop drive and creativity built the Fuze up for the big year that was 2010. Not only did Jeff Miers “Buffalo News music writer- name them one of the best Buffalo bands of the decade, 2010 also saw the band move to their new home of Asheville, NC. Deja Fuze then had their sites on igniting crowds throughout Western North Carolina.

Moving to Asheville has brought many new experiences to the Deja Fuze cast and crew. Many unforgettable and powerful shows were played -at venues such as Asheville Music Hall, Pisgah Brewing Co, The Altamont Theatre, and Fall Ball/Spring Fling Festival- a revolving group of members came and went, their first record Some Sort of Green (09/2016) was recorded and released, and a transformation took place not only within the members themselves, but in the music that had been created.

You can still expect the same sounds of Fuze past, but with a added maturity, precision, layer, and passion injected into the songwriting and stage presence. Deja Five is setting out on a mission to Oscillate Your Life.
