This was a great show held in an intimate setting. Very tight band. Robbed played with his usual high level artistic talents and clean method of hitting every pleasing note. Toss Panos and Jimmy Haslip created a super rhythm section and ideal backing foundation/palette for Robben to paint his masterpieces and melodic riffs on. The one possible weak link in the chain was Jeff McErlain’s backing guitar. He was too loud for this small venue. Maybe at 11 on his amp volume? Actually hurt my ears. My thoughts were that playing louder than Robben was McErlain’s attempt to shine alongside the superior talents of Robben Ford.
