Paula Abdul-Jabbar

To call Paula Abdul-Jabbar a cover band wouldn't be 100% accurate. Sure, they play other people's songs, but they aren't trying to sound just like them. Each member, a musician for over 20 years, brings a decidedly punk rock attitude, and a deep appreciation for the music they play. Seeing the band live is akin to hearing that mixtape your "hip" friend made you in middle-school. Each show is a curated selection of some of each members songs, and artists. They don't take requests, and think nothing of playing 3 hours straight. It's like The Replacements got sober and started a cover band. This isn't about money, or notoriety. It's about a love of music, and the need to share that comes along with it. Go see this band play. You'll be glad you did.
