Great show despite Dave Grohl struggling with his vocals at times because of a cold. Favorite moment was when Krist Novoselic came out and they played Molly's Lips. It was great to see him bouncing around on stage while playing like he did when he was playing bass in Nirvana.
I thought last year's Gorge show couldn't be topped. WRONG. The Safeco Field show was utterly amazing. While Dave's vocals were stronger last year, this concert took showmanship to a new level. They played the audience like an instrument. The set list was a composition until itself, rising, falling, hitting amazing crescendos, with pauses for effect, all perfectly timed. I've seen some amazing bands over 30 years, but I'm not sure anyone has mastered balancing the music with the "show" like Foo Fighters.
overall, the show itself was great! The only thing that continues to trouble me is the venue. everybody knows that Wrigley Field is a baseball stadium, it was never made to hold concerts and make music actually sound good. it's just troubling to know that bands will still go to this place for the nostalgic sake and people will still flock there and the sound will be mediocre at best.
With out a doubt, the best gig I’ve ever been to! Not only did the Foo Fighters our on the most uplifting and unified show I’ve ever seen, but the crowd were absolutely amazing too. And the great thing is I was close enough to the stage to see on the bands faces that they were truly amazed and looked humbled by the reaction of the crowd. I’m still on a high 2 days after. I have a feeling no gig will ever live up to the energy of the band and the crowd from Friday 22nd. I will definitely seeing hen again if I get another opportunity
Yeah dude the concert was good, managed to get there just as Foos got on stage which was pretty rad, but their sound equipment was in two tents in the crowd, which partially blocked my view of the stage throughout the performance, hence why it wasn’t 5 stars. Only other thing I would’ve liked was if they’d’ve played more actual songs instead of over-extending every song into a jam, but that’s whatever. Didn’t even play Big Me, and I’d’ve killed to hear Winnebago
