The overall show was very good but in my opinion it sounded like Rob Halford didn’t really want to sing that much maybe his voice was sore or something but it’s just didn’t seem to me like he wanted to sing a whole lot.
Saw priest for the first time ever and damn they were awesome. Amazing show. Rob Halford sounded better then ever and Ritchie Faulkner just blew me away with his shredding. Im still bummed they didnt play my favorite Judas Priest Songs Judas Rising, and Victim of Changes
Judas Priest sounded great. I'm still amazed how Rob was able to wear all those jackets in that heat. I thought the band for Deep Purple was good but Ian Gillian just doesn't have the voice anymore. Still respect him going out at 73 though.
Not sure why anyone would continue to rank bands today, against how they sounded 35 years ago, but that’s pretty bogus. Priest was awesome, when you consider Rob and Ian’s age, and the fact that Richie has only completed one tour and two albums with the band, they were better than expected!! My only issue with the show was that they only played about 10-12 songs. With Deep Purple being the headliner, Priest really didn’t get very deep into their 40+ year catalog.
Priest was the first band I ever listened to that got me into metal, and I finally got to see the one that started it all for me. My father seen priest back in 80 and 82 (Screaming for Vengance tour) , and finally are coursing him out of the house he went with me! 35 years later and he says Rob hasn’t missed a beat! Purple was awesome too! What a great show! I’ll definitely be seeing them both again if they come through.
Great show. The band is so tight, it’s awesome. Sound was great, singer still has a good voice. The croud was really into it. Great team to make it quicker to build the stage between acts. Really appreciated that.
