Alice Tambourine Lover Biography

ALICE TAMBOURINE LOVER
Alice Albertazzi (voice / guitar / tambourine)
Gianfranco Romanelli (dobro resonator guitars)

Alice Tambourine Lover are a male/female duo mixing blues, psychedelia and desert/rock elements. Guided by the voice of Alice Albertazzi, their songs travel through magical and dreamy suggestions, alternating with shadows of realistic lo-fi blues by guitarist / bassist Gianfranco Romanelli.
Born in Bologna in 2011 as ALIX side-project, one of the first italian psych/stoner band. With ALIX released five albums including "Ground", recorded by David Lenci in 2004 and "Good One ", recorded by Steve Albini in 2008.
ALIX, in 2009, play with Shellac at "Paradiso" in Amsterdam and at "Vera Club" in Groeningen. In 2012 they are on the bill of the english festival "All Tomorrow's Parties" along with bands such as Neurosis, Shellac, Red Fang, Uzeda and many more.
Alice Tambourine Lover recorded three albums: "Naked Songs" 2012, "Star Rovers" 2013 and "Like A Rose" 2015, this one contains two tracks by Dandy Brown (Hermano, Orquesta Del Deserto) and John Garcia (Kyuss, Unida, Hermano). The cover of "Like A Rose" is signed by the american photographer Ed Ross.
Two of their songs: "Hungry Thieves" (Alice Tambourine Lover) and "The Sweet Smelling-Roads" (Alix) are part of "Bota Cafè" soundtrack, a movie by directors Iris Elezi & Thomas Logoreci (2014).
