Dave Tucker Biography
“When I was 12, my mom’s brother played some blues guitar over in the corner of the living room on my father’s prized ‘52 Martin O-18. I got that funny feeling in my gut ... and I had to play it.” – Dave Tucker

When you meet Dave Tucker, it doesn’t take long to see that he’s the salt of the earth. A carpenter by day, Dave is a hard-working man who tells it like it is. “If I ain’t sweatin’ then I haven’t worked,” he says, “and if I haven’t worked, how can I justify the pay?” His homegrown pragmatism is also what so appropriately makes him an Americana singer/songwriter. This winter Dave Tucker now prepares to release his yet to be named fifth studio album as well as take over a headlining gig at the famed Red Lion in Vail, Colorado. "This record tackles 15 years worth of material and over 3 years exploring soundscapes, production techniques and finding the right guitar.
As a live performer Dave plays guitar and sings with his "Imaginary Band", which is a live recording and playback set-up which he uses to create enough sound for you to forget that he's just one man on stage. The Red Lion is the premier Apres'-ski hot spot in Vail. Dave performs two sets daily 4-6pm and 9-11pm Wed-Sat (weekly from Nov 17th-April).
