About this concert
Die amerikanische Jazz-Sängerin Stacey Kent gilt als eines der größten Talente ihrer Generation. Inspiriert von der Londoner Jazz-Szene, veröffentlichte sie 1997 ihr Debüt »Close Your Eyes«. Etliche weitere Alben und Auszeichnungen wie dem British Jazz Award, dem BBC Jazz Award und dem German Jazz Award folgten. Nun legt sie ihr erstes Album mit Orchester vor: »I Know I Dream« vereint Bossa-Nova Klassiker, Chansons, American Standards und Original-Kompositionen von Stacey Kents Ehemann, dem Saxophonisten Jim Tomlinson, mit Texten des Autors und Literatur-Nobelpreisträgers Kazuo Ishiguro.
