About this concert
By David Garrick Somehow, all nine members of Houston's The Suspects are going to fit into the Foundation Room at House of Blues for a set. Once that gets figured out, the dub ska legends of Houston should drop a magical performance while digging into the expansive back catalog of tunes. Dj Simiyu will spin records into the late night for the free show with doors at 7:30 pm.

The Suspects Biography
[ska dub rock reggae] The Suspects have been bringing explosive ska and reggae sounds to Houston audiences for almost 25 years. Formed in 1993 by a collection of punk rockers, ska & funk enthusiasts, and college radio uber-nerds, The Suspects have consistently been known for their high-energy shows and stellar musicianship. Over the years and through multiple lineup changes, The Suspects have done all the things a band is supposed to do: released multiple albums, toured the country, and received awards from the local music press. In 2015, long-time fans were thrilled by the news of original Suspects vocalist Chris Kendrick rejoining the band. Chris’ return helped broaden the band’s focus to include more of the roots-reggae and Jamaican rock-steady sound that drove them during their early years. The Suspects continue to bring their version of ska/dub/rock/reggae to Texas audiences, because the audiences keep asking for more. [ska dub rock reggae] Playing Houston and elsewhere since 1993.
