Josh Cherry Music

A native of Branson, Missouri, often referred to as the "Live Country Music Capital of the World", I have been around music for my entire life. As a kid, I performed with Andy Williams in his annual Christmas show at the Moon River Theater, and it gave me a love for performing. As I grew up, I did my best to balance my love of sports and the arts, often times performing in plays and musicals in the middle of football or baseball season.

After teaching myself how to play the guitar at the age of 16, I had finally equipped myself with the tools I needed to begin performing solo. I graduated from high school and headed for the University of Missouri, where I was rewarded with several performing opportunities. Between playing at the student center, jamming with new friends, and competing in competitions, I kept myself busy musically. In 2012, I competed in the Mizzou Idol competition, where I was a Top 10 finalist and was voted fan-favorite.

Upon returning home to finish school, I began lining up gigs at various bars, restaurants, and resorts. I have played at many venues from Branson to Springfield, and even had the opportunity to record a song in Nashville. My first original song, "I Don't Think", was a local hit, and I have been steadily writing songs ever since. I look forward to producing my first album in the near future.
