Want to make the longest, darkest night of the year one to remember? Come out to Severson Dells to hear two amazing bands. Rockford's own Indie folk band, Taboo Blah Blah opens the night with their great original sound that got them listed as people to watch in 2016 and a couple of RAMI awards this year. Closing out the night will be the Minneapolis band, Good Morning Bedlam. They are fast becoming an innovative force in the Midwest folk scene. Their music has been described as 'furious folk', but bleeds into other genres as well. Both bands will treat you to tremendous musicianship and a good time! Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, so get your tickets early!! Contact Severson Dells Nature Center or Taboo Blah Blah for tickets

This quartet from Minneapolis upheld that cities incredible musical genes with a captivating performance of originals, and even tossed in a cover of “All About That Bass,” adding their own unique style served up with more sass and a twang of bluegrass. Clearly sharing a passion for music and playing with each other, you can tell they have a lot of different musical influences, and the incorporate those into their own original style along with tempo changes and surprised layered with their lush vocals. Such a great so see them in an intimate setting such as Elk City Records, Charleston’s newest independent record store which is quickly gaining a reputation for high quality clean vinyl and great sounding small live performances.
