Olivia Chisholm

American Pop and R&B singer-songwriter, Olivia Chisholm is of African American and Tongan decent, born to Don and Lorraine Tonga Chisholm on August 29, 1990. Singing since childhood, Olivia first discovered her vocal ability by singing along with her favorite artist and attempting to sing each note exactly the way she heard it. Some of her musical influences are known to be Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Sade, Beyonce Knowles, Destiny's Child, Selena, Mariah Carey, Aaliyah & Lauryn Hill.

Olivia's musical training began in the 5th grade when she learned how to play the flute. The Charlotte, North Carolina native continued to expand her musical horizons by studying the piano, violin and guitar. Once Olivia gained knowledge of each instrument, she began to write her own songs at the age of 11. After graduating from Hopewell High School in 2008, Olivia was determined to start the process of becoming a recording artist, and recorded her first song in 2009. Always aware that education came first, Olivia wanted to get her college degree before beginning a full time professional singing career, so she balanced writing songs, recording music, and performing at numerous events, with being a full time college student and graduated in May of 2011 with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts.

Since then, Olivia has continued to pursue a career in the music industry and continues to have much success as an independent artist. In 2012, she was a contestant on the reality singing TV shows "Duets" under the mentorship of singer-songwriter Robin Thicke. The memorable experience increased her knowledge of the industry and taught her valuable skills she now uses to enhance her craft.

On August 29th, 2013 Olivia released her first project, an EP titled "Fearless" known for it's unique and sultry tone. She received local recognition for her EP at the 2013 Queen City Awards winning R&B artist of the year. Olivia then added 6 songs to her EP and independently released her first studio album titled "Fearless PT. II (Deluxe)" on March 2nd, 2014, winning R&B artist of that year as well. Following the album's release, she put together a concert to help promote the album. In the summer of 2014, Olivia auditioned to be apart of the VocalizeU program in L.A and won the scholarship to attend free. After spending the next two years in the studio recording and figuring out where she wanted to go musically, Olivia then released an EP on her birthday of 2016 titled "VIRGO", inspired by house and dance music while still tapping into her r&b roots. Olivia is currently working on her next album and will be releasing single's to build up to the release, one of the first single's being "Back To Me".
