Opzwepend slagwerkconcert van vader en dochter. Dat een feilloos gevoel voor show en ritme besmettelijk kan zijn, bewijzen drummer Lucas van Merwijk en zijn Surinaams-Nederlandse (stief)dochter Gianna Tam. Van Merwijk werd tussen 1993 en 2015 door de lezers van De Slagwerkkrant vele malen verkozen tot beste jazz- en world/fusion drummer. Ook het leven van Gianna ademt een en al muziek. Zij leerde het vak van haar vader, maar heeft inmiddels haar eigen sporen verdiend. Als drumster en percussionist toert ze intensief over de hele wereld. Als zangeres maakte het grote publiek kennis met haar in The Voice of Holland en via haar bejubelde soloalbums. In ‘Drumix! The Next Generation’ gaan vader en dochter samen het podium op voor een razend opzwepend en spectaculair slagwerkconcert.

Drummer, percussionist and bandleader. Lucas has been at the forefront of the European jazz, latin and percussion scene for 30 years. He was elected 'Best Jazz drummer' in the Benelux countries by the readers of De Slagwerkkrant many times running between the years 1993 and 2015.
