John Barrowman Biography
Born in Scotland (March 11, 1967), John Barrowman moved to America as a child. He then returned to the UK in 1989 working in London's West End. He's most famous for his musical theatre work, of which he has appeared in, Anything Goes, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, and Miss Saigon, among many others. He's also known for being a judge on shows like 'How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria' (both the UK and Canadian versions), 'I'd Do Anything' and 'Any Dream Will Do'.
John starred in the hit series 'Doctor Who' as Captain Jack Harkness (2005 and 2007). He also starred as Cpt. Jack in his own successful Doctor Who spinoff 'Torchwood' (2006), which returned with a second series in early 2008 and is scheduled to return for a third series in 2009.
He also has recorded two albums for Sony; Another Side which was released in 2007 and Music Music Music which was released in 2008.
