Caribou Mountain Collective Biography
Seeking mountains and proximity to the vibrant music scene of Boulder County, four bluegrass renegades were drawn to the ever-evolving folk traditions of the west. They convened at the foot of Caribou Ranch to carry on the rich history of Nederland acoustic music. They don't allow themselves to be pigeon holed as strictly a bluegrass band, keeping true to their influences of folk, blues, americana, country, and jazz. The four musicians of this group include Miles Perry (guitar), Curly Collins (upright bass), Etienne Cremieux (fiddle) and Allen Cooke (dobro). Each musician contributes vocals/harmonies and brings their own musical touch to the table in song writing and the composing of instrumental arrangements. Not only do these four musicians keep alive the traditional sounds of old time Appalachian mountain music, their diverse musical backgrounds create exciting medleys and unique lyrical storytelling. These musicians have honed their skills as entertainers, with an in depth understanding of what audiences love in a live show.
