«Eigentlich ein ganz normaler Versuch eines niederschwelligen Newcomer Anlasses», so lässt sich einer der Doppuschnägg-Initianten zitieren. Leider sind wir weit davon entfernt, so ein Format gerade im Newcomer Bereich als Norm bezeichnen zu können. Darum wird bei uns zweimal jährlich eine Lanze für junge und frische Musik gebrochen, hier geht es nicht darum, möglichst hohe Verformbarkeit auszuloten oder Marktwertsteigerung zu betreiben, sondern darum, einen Nährboden für wahre Indiemusik zu schaffen. Im Dezember dabei sind GET THE GORGEOUS aus Bern mit melodischem Punkrock, ROOFTOP SAILORS aus Thun, welche ihren slickem Boygroup-Look auf der Bühne gerne mit kernigen Rockriffs kontrastieren und, last but not least, das Duo TODESDISKO aus Zureich/Bern- Existenzialismius-Punk oder so, sehr ungeschliffene, sehr herzhafte Songs und eine Verbissenheit sondergleichen. Rooftop Sailors released their debut album “Kaleidoscope” on 5 November 2021. After the success

Their second album “RETROSLAVE” (release on 16 February 2024) elevates their hard-hitting yet refined
attitude to fresh and intoxicating new heights. Combining disco feel with savage six string riffage, the
band’s latest work encapsulates their unparalleled in-your-face attitude, be it on tape or stage.
With the album, they were crowned SRF3 Best Talent of February 2024, landing numerous tracks from
the album in the daily rotation and large editorial playlists on Spotify (Rock Rotation, Fresh Finds) -
the record reaches over 100,000 streams within three weeks of release.
