Daylight Music 268: Lost Map’s ‘Ceremonial Yule-log Supreme’ presenting Pictish Trail and Monoganon, Alabaster dePlume, BAS JAN, Manuela and Ed Dowie Lost Map—the Hebridean-based DIY label run by Pictish Trail—returns to Daylight Music at Union Chapel for another Christmassy cavalcade of good cheer. Johnny Pictish will play host, alongside his pal Monoganon, performing sonic regurgitations of songs from their ‘Winter Rewind Acid Reflux’ tour. There’ll also be harmony-soaked wonder pop courtesy of Manuela and her band; transportive spoken-word meditations from Alabaster dePlume; and surreal post-disco discombobulations from Serafina Steer’s latest project, BAS JAN. Daylight Music favourite, Ed Dowie, will provide some suitably festive organ interludes. http://www.lostmap.com A lazy afternoon with music, tea and cake. An event for all ages. Produced by Arctic Circle. Pay-What-You-Can ticket on door (suggested donation £5.00). Midday - till 2.00pm

Excellent Gig at the Oran Mor. I've seen The Pictish Trail twice before as a solo artist. It was great to see him with a backing band and the set was a bit heavier musically.
