The Royal Youths Biography
No matter how many changes the music industry experiences, the one thing that always remains, is the power of a passionate live show. Caleb Hart has the ability to bring something fresh, honest and powerful every time he steps on a stage.
A natural born performer since he was a young boy growing up in Trinidad & Tobago; Hart has been taking his music across Canada and around the world to The Caribbean, Australia, USA and New Zealand full time since 2012. Along with racking up well over 700 shows in that time, he has also released 5 records, 6 singles, and won prestigious awards from Edmonton Folk Fest, the Western Canadian Music Awards and more. However, all of the sales, stats and awards are just the background to Harts mission to spread songs of hope and unity wherever he goes. Whether touring with a band or as a solo performer, Hart carries a singular ability to bring the audience together for the show and beyond.
His debut solo EP album Island Soul was released worldwide in June 2017. After another busy summer of touring festivals and venues across western Canada this summer, Caleb Hart & The Royal Youths are set to release their debut EP album 'origiNation' in the fall and will be touring Western Canada alongside soulful roots rocker Buckman Coe.
Through his work with Tasman Jude and now as frontman of the Royal Youths, Caleb Hart has established himself as one of Canadas premier reggae voices, roots-reggae smooth to dancehall grimy in the blink of an eye and always armed with a message of peace, love and hope. The sound mastered by these guys is a team effort, plainly displayed in their immaculate performances. The Royal Youths formed on Vancouver Island in October 2015 as a one time backing band for Caleb Hart. Since then they have grown into an incredible band that brings their own unique funky reggae into every room they play.
