“The GG CarTune Show”
da ALLACCIA LE CINTURE: SI CANTA!

A seguito del successo di “Allaccia le Cinture: Si Canta! Primo corso di Canto per automobilisti” di Giovanna Gattuso registrato a Los Angeles e pubblicato nel 2010, uscira’ il 29 Agosto 2016 la divertente serie registrata tra Los Angeles e diverse citta’ italiane: “The GG CarTune Show”. Il gioco di parole Cartoon e Car-Tune e’ voluto: una vocal coach alla guida della sua auto ospita artisti, musicisti, stilisti di moda, cantanti, giornalisti, compositori di musiche da film etc, e con loro, in venti minuti alla guida, si genera una lezione dedicata ai “performers canterini”. Trenta episodi son gia’ stati registrati tra le freeway di Los Angeles, i vicoli di Venice Beach in California e le belle e storiche vie del centro di citta’ quali Roma, Torino e Napoli.

Il successo dell’audio cd “Allaccia le cinture: si canta!” aveva gia’ nel 2010 attirato l’attenzione dei media: su “La Repubblica”, il quotidiano Italiano, il cd fu identificato in una bella e divertente immagine tratta dal film culto “Amici miei” 'il Necchi' (Duilio Del Prete), 'il Melandri' (Gastone Moschin), ‘il Perozzi' (Philippe Noiret), 'il Sassaroli' (Adolfo Celi) e 'il Mascetti' (Ugo Tognazzi); ma fu anche messo in discussione su Isoradio durante il programma di viabilita’ di condotto da Emanuela Falcetti, durante un intervista a Giovanna Gattuso venne posto il quesito a noti ospiti e professori: ”cantare in auto e’ pericoloso?”.

Di fatto il cd viene da allora regolarmente acquistato ed usato da cantanti ed allievi cantanti. Esercizi musicali divertenti basati su “suoni e rumori” ispirati da un viaggio in auto: il ticchettio delle frecce, il ritmo dei tergicristalli, il suono irregolare delle gocce di pioggia sulla carrozzeria, l’ispirazione del suono del treno fermi ad un passaggio a livello.

La logica conseguenza delle lezioni di canto in auto di Giovanna Gattuso non poteva che essere che una divertente serie in onda sul canale video della docente di canto in onda dal 29 Agosto 2016 tutti i lunedì e giovedi: “The GG CarTune Show”.

Non ci sono allievi ma ospiti del settore: tra gli altri il pluri Award Winner re del Jazz e dello scat Gege’ Telesforo, il Golden Glob Nomenee Carlo Siliotto (“Nomad”, “The Punisher” con John Travolta, “Miracles from Heaven” con Jennifer Garner, Il Padre e lo Straniero di Tognazzi etc), la produttrice regista italo/americana Andria Litto (tra l’altro nipote del “Gattopardo” ultimo re di Sicilia e figlia dell’agente produttore di Hollywood George Litto che tra i suoi clienti vanta Clint Eastwood, Warren Beatty, Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman) lo stilista di Moda Fabrizio Modina, il cantautore e tra i presentatori de “Le Iene” Tiziano Lamberti, il protagonista di “The Adventure of Captain Zoom” Daniel Riordan, il doppiatore Massimo Bitossi ( Michael Moore in "Fahrenheit 9/11”, "Bastardi senza gloria”, “Argo” etc.), il cantante di musical protagonista di “Notre Dame De Paris” e “Romeo e Giulietta” di Riccardo Cocciante, Fabrizio Voghera, il regista della web-serie “G&T” che ha raggiunto 70 milioni di visitatori in tutto il mondo, Francesco D’Alessio, etc. tutti invitati in un giro in auto di venti minuti in cui tips, consigli, esercizi vocali, vengono dispensati in divertenti lezioni in auto.

FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS: SINGING BEHIND THE WHEEL!


Hello friends! We are very excited and happy to announce the premiere of our new web-video series, "The GG Cartune Show", this August 29, 2016 on our YouTube channel, "The GG Car Tune Show" and "Facebook.com/theGGCarTune Show."

The name, "The GG Cartune Show" is a play on the word "cartoon" conceived because of the playful and animated nature of the style of interviews all done while driving through different areas of Los Angeles and Italy. The concept of the show was created by professional singer and renowned vocal coach, Giovanno Gattuso, as a follow up to her successful audio cd, "Fasten Your Seatbelts: Singing Behind The Wheel", which is a series of vocal exercises designed to warm up on the way to a performance, recorded in Los Angeles. The exercises are performed by Ms. Gattuso, accompanied by jazz pianist and composer, Lou Forestieri, done to many different styles and types of rhythms. Her new video web show is a continuation of the success she achieved from her vocal warm up audio cd.

"I wanted to create a way for singers and artists to learn more about their craft, giving them ideas and tips to further their careers, so I started interviewing professionals that I have had the pleasure of working with in all areas of show business, but doing it in my car while creating an atmosphere of fun and lightheartedness along with them sharing their knowledge like how they got their start plus giving advice to those singers and artists just starting out. It is so much fun! We can get really crazy! I have actually made pizza in the car with one of my guest stars! There are no boundaries. Anything goes!"

The success of Ms. Gattuso's audio CD “Fasten your seat belts: Singing Behind the Wheel!” created quite a buzz in the media upon its release in 2010: “La Repubblica” the daily Italian newspaper, compared the cd to the famous image of an Italian Cult Movie: “Amici miei” with Duilio Del Prete, Gastone Moschin, Philippe Noiret, Adolfo Celi and Ugo Tognazzi; but it also was put under a bit of scrutiny…by “Isoradio”, a radio show hosted by the journalist Manuela Falcetti, which is a daily program based on drive-ability (driving and traffic service channel). During the interview with Ms. Gattuso, professors and various guests were questioning, "Is singing in the car dangerous?” "The fact is, people have always listened to music, singing along to it in their cars. I have been warming up on the way to my performances since I started driving, and so has every singer I know", says Ms. Gattuso. These fun vocal exercises are based on “sounds and noises” inspired by a trip in the car; the tic-tac of the turn signals, the rhythm of the windshield wipers, the irregular and soothing sound of the rain drops on the car, even the sound of the train when you are stopped at the crossing.

Keeping the "in car theme", her fun and informative new video web show is part of Ms. Gattuso's commitment to further a students knowledge of the "business" side of show business beyond the basics of vocalizing. Her guests are not students but actually professionals in show biz: the Multi-Award Winner king of Jazz and scat Gege’ Telesforo, the Golden Globe Nominee, Carlo Siliotto (“Nomad”, “The Punisher” with John Travolta, “Miracles from Heaven” with Jennifer Garner, Il Padre e lo Straniero by Tognazzi etc), the fashion designer Fabrizio Modina, the singer/songwriter and host of the famous “Le Iene” Tiziano Lamberti, the lead actor of “The Adventure of Captain Zoom” Daniel Riordan, the voice over actor, Massimo Bitossi (Michael Moore inn "Fahrenheit 9/11”, “Inglorious bastard”, “Argo” etc.), the musical singer and lead roles of “Notre Dame De Paris” and “Romeo and Giuliet” by Riccardo Cocciante, Fabrizio Voghera; the director of the web series “G&T” that reached 70 million visitors from all over the world, Francesco D’Alessio etc. They were all invited for a mini road trip of twenty minutes where tips, suggestions and vocal exercises are given along with some funny life lessons in the car.
