Dana Isles & Facedown Biography
What are we all about?
Facedown is the ultimate posture of worship! Our mission is simple...to glorify and worship God through music. We are real people with a real story of hope and redemption. Music is the vehicle we use to worship Jesus. Our hope is that you will feel encouraged in your walk of faith.
We play all kinds of events and venues. We play at coffeehouses, churches, retreats, conferences, festivals, shelters and addiction recovery groups. We consider it a great privilege to be able to minister the Word of God through music. We hope we get to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with you sometime soon!
How did the band get together?
Dana Isles and Facedown have been ministering as a band for 10 years. Through various personnel and band name changes, the mission has remained the same...to glorify and worship God through music. Most of the band hales from the South Jersey area. (Mike, from North Jersey) They also represent several different churches. Like many Christian bands, DIFD was originally birthed out of a local church worship team. Dana (lead vocal), Tammy (drummer) and Jennifer (bass guitar) were part of that worship team. Later, Rich (rhythm guitar), and Mike (lead guitar) were added. Cammeron is Rich's son and he has been around the band since he was a little guy. He is an avid drummer and joined the band on percussion in 2013. Jonathan Maness (keys) joined the band in 2014 rounding out the band. Bill Dempsey is their dedicated and hardworking manager. Dana Isles and Facedown is also supported by a Band Chaplain, Pastor Chris Baker. DIFD has many people that help to make the ministry possible including (but not limited to) Bus Driver Brenda Simmerman, Merchandise Manager Ellen Dempsey, tech roadie Evan McCaslin and touring Musicians Ben Ash and Dale Scheeler. Here's a popular band quote, "God has really blessed us in that we love the Lord first, really love each other and love to minister in music." D.I.F.D.
