Przemek Straczek Trio

Przemyslaw Straczek - guitar, Francesco Angiuli - double bass and Flavio Li Vigni - drums.

The trio first met in 2011 during the United Kingdom tour. The leader of the Group, and their composer, is the well-acclaimed Polish guitarist Przemysław Strączek. In 2014, the band released the album White Grain of Coffee with Michał Wierba (piano), Francesco Angiuli (bass) and Flavio Li Vigni (drums) which was well received by critics. After the album release the band was selected to participate in the Bridge Music Programme organised by The Scottish Jazz Federationand they were able to present their album to audiences in the major cities of Scotland and the UK. They have also played in festivals and jazz venues in Poland, Czech Republic and Italy.

"Quality straight ahead jazz. Feels like home" - All About Jazz.

"Straczek seems to find much inspiration in the Steely Dan and Crusaders albums that featured Larry Carlton, although Pat Metheny's optimistic, wide-screen fusion of world music influences and jazz guitar history also suggested itself and he has no shortage of ideas of his own too. He writes tunes with a sense of narrative, such as the dramatic Last Train and a later soul ballad that had something of the hymn about it . . . - Rob Adams,  The Herald.
