Architects is a metalcore band from Brighton, England, founded in 2004. The band had many name changes; her first band name was `Inharmonic`, which they then changed into `Counting the Days`. A few years later, they called themselves `Architects`.Founded in 2004, the band began recording their first demo in 2005. After the band drew the attention of Distort Entertainment, the debut album Nightmares appeared in 2006, whose members were only 17 years old on average.Already in 2007 appeared the second album Ruin, on the first the new singer Sam Carter was heard, after the same year singer Matt Johnson had left the band for personal reasons. The album was a complete success and the band first performed outside Great Britain with As I Lay Dying, SikTh, Gallows and The Holly Springs Disaster. In the same year the band toured the USA with bands like Suicide Silence, Emmure, Beneath the Massacre and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. In addition, a European Altamonte Never Say Die! Tour with Whitechapel, Protest the Hero, Carnifex, Parkway Drive, Unearth and Despised Icon.At the end of January 2009, the third studio album Hollow Crown was released under Century Media Records.As the title of the album suggested, the lyrics of the album treated themes such as arrogance and obsession. They then played at the Vainstream Rockfest, as well as at other festivals such as the With Full Force. On September 24, 2010, the band released their first download single under the name Day In Day OutFor January 21, 2011, the band announced their fourth album, The Here and Now. A month later, the band confirmed that bassist Alex Dean left the band for family commitments.On July 3, 2011 the band announced on their Facebook site that the former bassist Alex `Ali Dino` Dean would return to the band.In the spring of 2012, Architects (and Touché Amoré) supported the US band Rise Against on their Europatour as a backing band.On April 16, 2012, the band announced on their Facebook site that guitarist Tim Hillier-Brook will leave the band and his last appearance with Architects at the Groezrock Festival. He was replaced on the same day by Sylosis guitarist Josh Middleton, who supported the band as a second guitarist at the following concerts.In October 2013, Architects left their previous label Century Media Records and switched to Epitaph Records. Since February 2015, Adam Christianson, who has been playing the rhythm guitar since 2014, is a full-fledged band member.On August 20, 2016 guitarist, songwriter and founder Tom Searle died at the age of 28 years after 3 years of fighting the consequences of his cancer.On September 7th, 2017, it was announced that Josh Middleton, who had previously played guitar at live concerts, became a full band member. alsoappeared with Doomsday the first new single, since the Crime Tom Searles. Dan Searle announced on Twitter that Tom Searle could not complete the song anymore and was written by the band.
