The Shady Street Show Band Biography

Rhythm and blues to rattle the bones. Sweet soul music to set you free. Grin wider. Groove harder.

Shady Street is above all else a show band, with each member bringing their own unique musical experiences to the mix. The band serves as a melting pot for classic rhythm and blues, soul, and American roots music, running the gamut from intimate ballads to huge production numbers featuring a full horn section with ties just as close to Vaudeville as they are with Rock and Roll.

Among their achievements include winning the Asbury Park Music Award for best soul act three years in a row (‘14,’15, and ‘16) as well as best keyboardist Ryan Gregg (‘16) and best vocalist Lindsey Desena (‘16). Their 2016 debut album release “Revelry” was featured on mycentraljersey.com and The Aquarian. They are also listed on nj.com’s list of “35 N.J. Bands you Must Hear in 2017.”
