the Haunted Windchimes Biography

Hailing from the Rocky Mountain town of Pueblo Colorado, The Haunted Windchimes are a musical concept born from the first conversation between vocalist Desirae Garcia, and singer/songwriter Inaiah Lujan. Through the static of the Colorado Phone lines, The Haunted Windchimes took form through the ghost towns of the mind, where the music is of the haunting kind.

From this ghost hunt, an Album was born and given the appropriate name “Ballad of the Winds.” These songs of wind, allow you to drift through tales of death, rebirth, love and revolution. Released in the spring of 2007 by Minneapolis Based Indie Label “Peddling Records”, The Haunted Windchimes thought it was about time to put on their traveling shoes and share their music with the rest of the world.

May 10th 2007 marked the beginning of The Haunted Windchimes 90 Day Summer Tour. “We hit the road with just a couple of guitars, suitcases and our dreams to share the haunting.” With the wind at their backs they headed east, towards the rising sun and wandered through the ghost towns of Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska, Brookings South Dakota, Minneapolis Minnesota, Madison Wisconsin, Bloomington Indiana, Nashville Tennessee, Atlanta and Athens Georgia, and Ft. Worth Texas. All the while sharing stories and songs on stage; in bookstores and backyards, bon fires and open mics, living room floors, basements and front porches. Playing atop parks and national monuments, on couches and rocking chairs, on hills and lakes, mountains and staircases.

With the huge success from their 2007 summer tour, The Haunted Windchimes retired to their rocky mountain home to begin work on their second album. In Mid-August 2007 "An Evening With The Haunted Windchimes," was born. Combining all the major strands of American music into a unique blend. Shortly after it's release, The Haunted Windchimes added a third member, Talented singer/songwriter Chela Lujan, giving the band a more dynamic vocal arrangement. In Late August 2007, The Haunted Windchimes lent thier voices to a new project dubbed "THE MEXICAN," and worked closely with El Mexicano on "The Funeral Pop E.P. Featuring songs about Life, Death, Murder and Rebirth.

In the winter of 2007 The Haunted Windchimes escaped the cold colorado winters for the beautiful scenery and magical oceans on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii. While in Hawaii The Windchimes hooked up with "The Mad Genius Producer," Pierre Grill. Pierre Grille recorded and helped conceptualize the 4 Song EP "Verse Visa." Pierre also lent to the album his stunning piano playing and exceptional accordion skills.
