Singer songwriter, harp and guitar player, Jennifer Crook is a much-loved feature of Britain's folk and acoustic scene. With collaborations that encompass Boo Hewerdine, Eddi Reader and Snow Patrol, she has released a string of intelligent, finely-crafted albums, attracting plaudits from Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2 and the folk press.Heartfelt and authentic, Jennifer's highly skilled musicianship and naturally beautiful singing voice make a captivating live performance. With the addition of vocal harmonies and such first class musicians as Mike Cosgrave (guitar, accordion) and new trio member Clare Lindley (violin), the atmospheric arrangements around Jennifer's vivid storytelling are simply stunning.Three years since her last hometown appearance, this promises to be a very special night with some brand new versions of old and new material including a song you need to hear before the 5th of November!Jennifer's new album The Year, She Turns was inspired by the months and the seasons and is the latest addition in a great catalogue of wonderful songs. This is contemporary songwriting and performing at it's best Maverick*****A class act R2.A rare talent Stephen W Tayler (Real World Studios, Producer, Kate Bush)A vocalist of sublime power John O'ReganA writer with her own unique set of gifts that melodically and lyrically place her a cut above many of her contemporaries Folk Radio UK Multi-instrumentalist Mike Cosgrave regularly tours with Jackie Oates, Cosgrave and Banks, and has previously worked with Michael Weston King, Jackie Leven and Bath-based band 'Daily Planet' amongst others. Jennifer met him in a wind-swept car park by the sea in Pembrokeshire after a Daily Planet gig.Clare Lindley has played with many artists, more recently as the violinist in the cult rock band Stackridge and the acoustic trio DLM headed by Bath-based songwriter Andrew Cresswell Davis. Jennifer met her at a folk festival in the Shetland Islands when they were young and having too much fun to remember much about it. www.jennifercrook.comPeter James MillsonSupport comes from Peter James Millson who took the photos for Jennifer's latest album and is working on his next record.
