The Hazelnuts :: האחיות לוז Biography
The Hazelnuts are a unique musical phenomenon in the Israeli music scene – sweeping large and varied audiences off and on their feet with the swing fever.
The Hazelnuts' tight vocal harmony – inspired by the American close-harmony-singing trios of the 1930' are accompanied by their vintage band - an acoustic guitar, double bass, a washboard player and a trumpet. Together, they take us on a journey back to good old New Orleans, along with their own original songs and surprising arrangements for up-to-date hits, with the 3 "sisters" being personally responsible for writing and arranging all songs.
Performing nonstop and gaining critical acclaim in Israel and Abroad The Hazelnuts released their new live album in June 2016 and had the honor of performing for thousands of people in a number of mentionable venues and festivals such as the Marseille Jazz des Cinqs Continents (FR), Tel Aviv Jazz Festival (IL), The Boswell Sisters tribute festival in New Orleans (USA), "Days of Jerusalem" Festival in Prague (CZ) and "Mikser House" (RS). They also cooperate as a vocal trio with respectable musicians such as Yoni Rechter (IL), Shlomi Shaban (IL), Shlomo Gronich (IL), Marsh Dondurma (IL) & Jerron Paxton (US).
