Woe Unto Me Biography
WOE UNTO ME was founded in 2008 in Grodno (Belarus) by two guitarists Dzmitry Shchyhlinski and Artyom Serdyuk (also known for his work in such bands as: Deathbringer, Thy Disease, Disloyal, Amentia, ex-ID:Vision, ex-Medea). For 3 years they were working under material for the debut album and were searching for musicians to complete the line-up.
In 2011 the band starts the recording session. By November 2012 the album is recorded, mixed and mastered.
In 2013 WOE UNTO ME have signed a deal with SOLITUDE PRODUCTIONS.
In January 2014 the album named “A Step Into The Waters Of Forgetfulness” was released.
The album was really well-received, as shown by the excellent reviews from all over the world.
WOE UNTO ME immediately went on tour called “Anhedonia Tour 2014” promoting the release, together with Latvian doom/death metal band FRAILTY. This tour covered 5 countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia and Belarus.
The band took part in some festivals including the biggest metal festival in Belarus – Metal Crowd, sharing the stage with the bands like: HATE, SUSPERIA, ARKONA, MORS PRINCIPIUM EST, THY DISEASE, etc.
In the beginning of 2015 WOE UNTO ME performed together with legendary SHAPE OF DESPAIR in Russia and with SATURNUS and EREB ALTOR in Lithuania and Latvia.
WOE UNTO ME is the group of devoted musicians, who focus not only on recordings, but also on professional live performances.
