About this concert
The Brackish are an instrumental four-piece band from Bristol. With a traditional classic rock line-up of two guitars, drums and bass, they use their musical skills to produce a mix of psychedelia, krautrock and alternative-rock and punk enveloped in a post-rock feel. The twin guitars have idiosyncratic voices as they weave and comment around some singular melodic ideas. They have a great sense of dynamics and tempo changes, as they make a limited pallet of sounds seem endlessly inventive. The Brackish make music that is by turns delicate and fierce, whilst avoiding any ambient whisperings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LfqFKTm4x0CHROMA are an Alt Rock Trio from the heart of South Wales, Pontypridd. With just three members, they have managed to achieve a full sound as if there were four of them. CHROMA was founded by Guitarist Liam Bevan and Drummer Zac Mather who later found K-T Hall who completed the line up mid 2015. Since then, they've won C2 BBC Radio Cymru's Brwydr y Bandiau 2016, and they've released their debut EP, which is available now on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play. The band are back at it, continuously writing their next batch of songs, ready for a year ahead of great shows and a lot of partying. CHROMA are extremely grateful for any support that they have received and audience is everything for them. Without you, CHROMA would be nothing. Thanks for sticking around with them to help them achieve what they've always wanted, a life with good people and good music.TICKETS £6.00 OTD £5 before 8:30pm

The Brackish Biography

Having recorded first album 'Big Guys' which was released on Lavathief , 2014 saw the band build up a reputation for their incendiary and occasionally amp-destroying gigs. In 2016 they released second album,' Liquid of Choice' on Bad Elephant Music. There's a murky interconnected web in the Brackish mix; Guitarist Luke Cawthra and drummer Matt Jones played together in art-rock band The Nuge then with Emily Breeze and Phantom Limb. Matt played with guitarist Neil Smith in afrobeat band Helele and prog-jazzers Smith and Willox. Bassist Jacob Myles-Tyghe joined the band in 2016. Thrillingly unique instrumental post-punk psych band featuring alumni of The Liftmen, Zun Zun Egui, This Is The Kit and Phantom Limb.
