Tart Vandelay is an alternative pop music duo consisting of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Katie Halligan and guitarist/producer Marty LoFaso. Originally from Rochester, NY, the LA-based duo have been transforming audiences with their colorful sound since 2014. Drawing inspiration from St. Vincent, Sylvan Esso, and Sofi Tukker, their music blends together elements of funk, rock, house, pop, and disco. Katie uses vocal looping techniques to create instrumental textures, while Marty's guitar playing blends catchy funk hooks with psychedelic wonderment. The duo weaves together kaleidoscopic soundscapes that offer transcendence to listeners. Their songs span from bright and joyful to dark and sensual, inviting all to dance and embrace their true self.
