We saw the show last year so we knew it would be good but it exceeded our already high expectations! Patricia Richard was brilliant as always. Her son, Julian Robichaud really seemed to be enjoying himself and his piano skills are marvellous. Marie-Andrée Gaudet was the new cast member and she’s definitely a keeper. Her tone is rich and her technique is flawless. Her vocals fit in beautifully. The chemistry on stage was absolutely magical. We drove two hours for this show and would have happily returned the next night to see it again.

Lennie Gallant Biography

Lennie Gallant is from Prince Edward Island, Canada. He has released fifteen albums (11 in English and 4 in French) of original songs which have won him a host of awards and nominations from the JUNOs (Canada’s Grammys) and Les Prix Eloizes. He’s received a Canadian Folk Artist of The Year Award as well as 19 East Coast Music Awards, including Entertainer of the Year several times over. Gallant’s multimedia hit production Searching For Abegweit ran for 180 shows and toured the Canadian East Coast to sold out performances. His classic song ‘’Peter’s Dream” was recently inducted into the
Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.

A recipient of the Order of Canada, (the country’s highest civilian honour), Lennie is a touring artist who has performed all over Canada, the US, Europe, for the troops in Afghanistan, and at the Winter Olympics. He has performed on Canada Day on Parliament Hill, Trafalgar Square in London, and in Washington DC.

He has shared the stage with such artists as Lucinda Williams, Patti Griffin, Roger Hodgson, and has performed onstage with Jimmy Buffett and David Foster and his band. His songs have been covered by numerous artists, including Buffett, and have appeared in feature films and TV shows. One of his albums, “When We Get There”, even went up to the International Space Station with Canadian Astronaut Julie Payette and orbited the planet 248 times.

In 2018, Gallant found himself in the studio to record his critically acclaimed album, Time Travel. The album features guest appearances by Rose Cousins and Jenn Grant among others. His song and video “Sequoia” received accolades for its depiction of these venerable elders of the forest and what they can teach us about our time here on the planet.

Lennie also has a new French language album out in collaboration with partner, Patricia Richard, under the name Sirène et Matelot which has been doing extremely well in the francophone world. In 2021 he released his new Christmas album to celebrate the season and hopefully, a time of healing for this beautiful fragile planet.
