Jasper String Quartet

HAYDN: QUARTET IN D MAJOR (“FIFTHS”), OP. 76, NO. 2 BERG: LYRIC SUITE BEETHOVEN: QUARTET IN A MAJOR, OP. 132 Philadelphia’s Jasper String Quartet doesn’t care to play everything in the repertory; its aims are higher: to “perform pieces emotionally significant to its members, ranging from Haydn and Beethoven through Berg and living composers.” And that’s exactly what’s in store for us, including Alban Berg’s most cryptic of musical valentines.
