Azure Halo hail from Glasgow, are a hard working band gigging weekly. They woke up one morning in May to find themselves on the front page of every rag , from as far as Australia, Canada and the States. You may have heard the story about the band that sacrificed the baby seal on stage. Ozzy’s got nothing on them they cried.
This band has links to psychedelic royalty, not only were they good friends with Sky Saxon (The Seeds) but also the Electric Prunes last release was written by them.
Even though Stuart Cosgrove claimed they were “Modern RnB at its best “, they had every gig cancelled on the back of the bad publicity from a fabricated story of a batty rapper who published that the band had caught and ripped a pup seals throat out on stage and published his story on Facebook, after all he witnessed the whole event (that never took place BTW ) even contacted their manager to say he witnessed this, and went on to advise him to drop the band. Because of this fake news story the Promoters and organizers bought into it! How could you really? Yes they really believed the band had committed such a scandalous and heinous act most of them even contacted the band to tell them that the Azure Halo would never play again.
Having been a victim of FAKE NEWS..Azure Halo has managed to pull it back together and is now playing all over the UK also realising a new E.P.
Their recent release ‘Buddha bomb’ shows that they are still going strong and are currently working on their a new single called Fingers which is about the life of Syd Barret and how Pink Floyd dumped him in an asylum and stole the band and its name from him leaving him with nothing dying in oxford in his mums house a recluse a lone wolf…..
