Waterproof DnB Biography
ENGLISH
Waterproof is a new groundbreaking electroacoustic quartet. It was born in Venice in autumn 2012 from the meeting of four musicians interested in experimenting with new ways of creating sounds and sensations, new ways of thinking of words such as Jazz and Drum and Bass, and new ways of interacting and composing.
A live set devoted to totally free improvisation, always driven by Jungle, Psy, D'n'B and Dub beats, arose from this thirst for innovation.
Waterproof's performances are not discs on a DJ console because waterproof only exists while playing: no studio work, every recording is taken live, on a stage in front of an audience.
The sound of a drum set, a double bass, didjeridoos, flutes and other acoustic instruments is processed in real time and turned into an unconventional listening and dancing experience.
Your ears and brain, your feet and stomach… All will get satisfaction with Waterproof D²nB.

Waterproof nasce a Venezia nell'autunno 2012. Nasce dall'incontro di quattro musicisti interessati alla sperimentazione di nuove modalità di produrre suoni e sensazioni. Nuove modalità di intendere parole come Jazz e Drum and Bass. Nuove modalità di interazione e composizione.
Da questa sete di novità scaturisce un live set votato all'improvvisazione assolutamente libera, sempre spinta in avanti dalle pulsazioni Jungle, Psy, Techno, D'n'B, Dub.
Le performance di Waterproof non sono dischi su una piattaforma da DJ. Waterproof esiste solo quando suona: nessun lavoro in studio, qualsiasi registrazione è stata effettuata in live, su di un palco davanti ad un pubblico.
Una batteria, un contrabbasso, didjeridoo, flauti e altre fonti sonore acustiche vengono processate in tempo reale e trasformate in un'esperienza di ascolto e di ballo dentro e fuori dal normale.
