Dean Martian

Born, raised and ruined in the big easy, Dean Martian takes the New Orleans traditional styles and merges them with the creative styles of his inner demons to bring you an original sound with comfortably familiar blues and jazz roots. Playing original songs reminiscent of the 40’s and 50’s, Dean tells his stories of love, death, epic happiness, and horrible loss. He has headlined venues such as world famous Tipitina’s, House of Blues New Orleans, House of Blues Chicago, The Howlin’ Wolf, and Jimmy’s Music Club. He has opened up for legendary acts such as The Specials, Dave Wakeling, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Chaka Kahn, Fishbone, Dr. John, Bell Biv DeVoe, Less Than Jake, and Reel Big Fish (to name a few). Dean has recorded and released 2 singles with Light Rail Records: "Los Marcianos Son De Marte" (released 4/15/14) and "Sad Sam Smith and other Tales of Woe" (released 2/10/15).
