Trent Mayo

Trent Mayo is a passionate entertainer at heart. On stage and behind the wheel, Trent knows how to put on a show and get the fans cheering. A stranger to no one, he shares his passion for racing, music, and living with those around him. At 24 years old, Mayo holds multiple race wins and is a former track champion of Music City Motorplex (Nashville, TN) and Lanier National Speedway (Braselton, GA). Although he’s raced on over thirty tracks in the Southeast, Trent’s 2012 rookie season in the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards will mark his return to racing after a four year hiatus as he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management with concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Georgia Tech as well as a Master’s in Music Business from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
“I realized in order to reach my dreams of one day becoming a NASCAR team owner/driver as well as a touring Country music artist that I would need to carve my own path. Having a foundation of a great education has enabled me to make smarter decisions and enhance each opportunity along the way.”
Trent took the first big jump in achieving his dream while in college when he developed and launched Music Thunder Records, an independent record label, to release his music through. After a successful launch with his debut single, “Doin’ Good Now”, Trent toured throughout the Southeast performing acoustic and full band shows while building a strong following. As fun and exciting as the stage had been, Trent realized it was time to work on the other half of his dream and get back racing. A successful test with ARCA at the world-famous Daytona International Speedway in December fueled his entrepreneurial spirit as Trent rebuilt his race team, Music Thunder Racing, to compete in ARCA Racing’s 60th Anniversary season as well as a few NASCAR K&N Pro East Series races. Trent will continue his on stage presence performing at venues near each track throughout the season.
