St. Edward's Church
Stow On The Wold, United Kingdom
This piano concert and organ recital is the second that the performers have held locally to support the repair of local churches. The first was to raise funds to repair the small 11th century church of St Nicholas in Lower Oddington, whose famous medieval 'Doom' wall painting suffered rain damage following theft of the copper covering from the roof. This concert is in aid of St. Edward's Church, Stow-on-the-Wold.

The programme provisionally includes:
Beethoven Sonata in C minor Op.13 ('Pathetique')
Schubert Fantasia in F minor for piano four hands, D940
Rachmaninoff 4th Prelude from Opus 23
Ravel Excerpts from Valses Nobles & Sentimentales
Debussy La plus que lente
Skrjabin Prelude in C Major, Prelude in A Minor, Prelude in E Major and Prelude in C Sharp Minor from 24 Preludes Opus 11
George Gershwin Prelude No. 1: Allegro ben rimato e deciso; Improvisation on 'The Man I Love'; Selection from 'Tell Me More',

The performers are:
Nicholas Ashton piano, principal organist at St Edward's Church, Stow-on-the Wold and barrister.
Michael Brown piano, teacher in primary education
Jason Richards* piano, formerly assistant organist at St Edward's Church, Stow-on-the-Wold.

*URGENT NOTE As of 3rd August, the concert organisers have been informed that Jason Richards is no longer available and any changes to the programme or performers will be advised as soon as possible.
