Oxi - https://www.facebook.com/OxiWasHere https://oxiwashere.bandcamp.com "Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down... I'll tell you how I became the prince of a DIY space called Knowhere. A short short time ago in a galaxy not that far away I, Charlie, had an idea to create a DIY space that emulated the great days of DIY past where spaces would create a community for artists rather than just hosting a place for wild shows, and that's how I met Theo who ended up becoming one of the housemates at Knowhere. With Theo also came his bandmate from the Phoenix Process (occasionally known as the PP) George. Soon enough Brandon who played drums in the PP started hanging out and got really close with me and really all of the housemates at Knowhere. Eventually the PP decided to break up over creative differences and were left without a musical project. At the same time as this my band Vaguewaves decided to start recording a final album then break up, between recording sessions while our engineer was away at college this left the band in a state of hiatus causing myself to be in the same situation as Brandon and Theo. Finally we started jamming with the intention of creating a really poppy 60's sounding Monkees influenced band with some cool jammy Jack White-esque guitar, wow was that a hit and miss huh? This project eventually became Oxi and we've been doing music since. We are currently writing new material and slowly building up to the recording of our debut album." Ester Drang - https://www.facebook.com/esterdrangmusic http://www.esterdrang.com "Ester Drang is an experimental, post rock, shoegaze band from Tulsa, OK. Formed in 1995 by Bryce Chambers, the band quickly gained a fan base creating songs and soundscapes inspired and influenced by My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Spiritualized, The Beatles, and more. In 22 years the band has seen members come and go including, Sterling Williams, Brian Brewer, Jeff Shoop, Philip Phillips, and James McAlister. After releasing 4 full lengths and an EP, the band quietly went on hiatus in 2007. Chambers resurrected The Drang in 2012 with a new line-up including original bassist and founding member Kyle Winner, and currently featuring Hank Hanewinkel III (drums), Tommy McKenzie (guitar and keyboards), and Jon Paul Pope (cello). The band have just released their first new music in over a decade. The single entitled The Union, is taken from a forth-coming EP the band are preparing for release. Throughout the years, Ester Drang have remained in the minds and record collections of fans new and old, and continue to inspire new acts. The band have toured with the likes of Pedro The Lion, The American Analog Set, Starflyer 59, and most recently Echo & The Bunnymen."
