I like rays new stuff, that being said I think alot of the audience wanted to hear older stuff. Since his playstyle has switched to almost psycadelic rock, I feel like ray needs to change his bands name to prevent this misconception audience goers may have.
Ray didn’t want to play Jolene and trouble and got a little angry with the crowd for asking. His voice is amazing and he really showed his rock side. Overall a good show, but don’t go if you wanna here his old songs.

I only knew one of his songs and was very curious to see his work. Privileged to have been educated live on his work. He is A gentleman on stage. I went expanding a mellow mood but I found that but also a Powerful performance. I've been listening to him all day today. ❤️
New album has some gems but why keep rolling out the less than impressive songs from Supernova? Started strong with an acoustic set of his classics, second set features Ouroboros and final set has too much of Supernova and not enough of Gossip and God Willing.
The first part was the best with just Ray and his guitar. During that portion, he had the audience's full attention with heartfelt lyrics and mellow music. Then he came out with the full band and the concert took a 180° turn. It shifted to a combination of hard rock and psychedelic music. After each new song, a significant number of persons got up and left. The musicianship was good, but people were just expecting more of the folk rock. I stuck it out to the end, but the audience was only about half full during the last song. I still enjoyed the concert, but it wasn't like the feeling you get when the full audience gets into it.
A Five Star event in a beautiful city! I picked up 2 vinyls, his new album, a shirt, and an autographed poster that glows in the dark that he signed right before the show! my husband and I will be going to his next live performance in Nashville! We may even drive 4hrs out every direction to see him again! Lots of love to Ray Lamontagne and the band! We will see you again!
