The Launchers Biography

The Launchers are an eight-piece original band rising from the ashes of Hometown Hi-Fi, Skalectrix and King Mob. The band's sound is carved from the collision of three tectonic plates, forming a powerful musical volcano. The marriage reflects the struggles of a modern British dystopia and recaptures the fiery optimism of their luminaries over at Studio One.

Supporting legendary acts such as Madness, Geno Washington, Bad Manners, Lee Thompson and Roddy Radiation, it’s a fair assessment that The Launchers are masters of their craft whose sold out high-energy live shows are fuelled by their own original tub-thumping, bottom-shaking, floor-filling scorchers.

With a dash of Toots, a splash of Prince Buster, a West London working class ethos and four lead singers combining to form one perfect harmony, the boys are the premium golden nugget the shimmers at the top of the pile.

With one single to their name, the glorious Dutty Mouth peaked at number 3 in the reggae charts, The Launchers prepare for take-off in 2018 with another two singles set for release over the coming months.

After playing to a 1,000-strong crowd at The Madness House Of Fun Weekend and every gig packed to the rafters, you’ll be hearing a lot more from this rambunctious group of gentleman… you can put your money where your Dutty Mouth is.

A big thank you to everyone that attended The Madness House Of Fun Weekender. It was truly a blinding show and a pleasure to play in front of so many recognisable faces. A huge shout has to go to the legendary Lee Thompson, it was a pleasure to hang out and honoured you caught the gig.

Fist bumps all round to those of you who have attended our other performances. We’ve had huge support so far and even breaking records (Prince Albert, you know who you are)! Long may it continue in 2018 and look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming bum-shaking, boot-quaking shows we’ve got throughout the year.

Final doffing of our caps goes to those who bought our last single Dutty Mouth. It made it to number 3 in the reggae charts, which we’re pretty chuffed about. New single The Fugitive will be hitting the airwaves next month so let’s get that all the way to number 1.
