Spoiwo

SPOIWO has been created in 2009 and consists of five friends. From that moment on it develops its characteristic sound which is based on melancholy drifting along with elements of madness and sadness exploding together in a joyful manner. SPOIWO is often labeled as post-rock band, yet it creates own unique sound by incorporating elements from ambient, modern classical and soundtrack music. Our approach to music is cinematic, as we build tension we shift from dreamy ambient landscapes to heavy guitars creating wall of sound.

Most recently SPOIWO performed at OFF-Festival (PL) interntional festival, known from inviting most interesting and creative artists from all genres (Swans, Pj Harvey and many others). Band performed also at: Dunk! Festival (BE), Whoneedslyrics? Festival (SL) or Devilstone Festival (LT).

In 2015 band released debut album "Salute Solitude" which received great fan and media response, as it was chosen as "Best Newcomer Post-rock Band of 2015" and ranked 11th among "Best Post-rock Albums of 2015" by Arctic Drones - worldwide biggest post-rock community (http://arcticdrones.com/staff-picks/10-best-new-bands-post-rock/)
