The New York Philharmonic presents a concert of Ravel masterpieces, culminating in the iconic "Boléro", with its hypnotic beat increasing in intensity until it reaches its stunning climax. The formidable Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins the Philharmonic for the jazzy Left-Hand Piano Concerto, a five-finger tour de force. You'll also hear "Le Tombeau de Couperin", Ravel's orchestration of Debussy's "Sarabande et Danse" and his "Valses nobles et sentimentales" in this concert conducted by Joshua Weilerstein at New York City's David Geffen Hall. The program honors the 90th anniversary of Ravel's only North American tour, in 1928.
