VOXX PROMOS, IN ALLIANCE WITH THE PARAMOUR GROUP AND APOCALYPSE-METAL ARE PROUD TO PRESENT IN CALGARY, ALBERTA ON THEIR 2017 WORLD TOUR, ONE OF THE PIONEERS OF THE NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL: Diamond Head! Please join us Monday, August 28th 2017 at Distortion - Live Music Venuefor Diamond Head’s FIRST EVER show in Alberta! Diamond Head is a legendary British band from the late 70’s that has had a major influence on the world of metal music today. Not only from their hits, or their mega selling releases, but from the influence that they have had on so many artists to follow. “Some of the greatest Heavy Metal songs of all time" - Lars Ulrich-Metallica "I place Diamond Head at the forefront of the best of the best" - Dave Mustaine ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LOCAL SUPPORT: RIOT CITY Riot City is a traditional heavy/speed metal band formed in Vancouver (currently living residing in Alberta) following the stanley cup riots. Be prepared for an unforgettable stage performance, riffs that give a snappy comeback, blistering guitar harmonies and sirenesque vocals that will rip the shirt right off of you. Presently working on their newest EP, "Burn the Night", they are ready to ravage and abuse you with Judas Priest, Tygers of Pan Tang, Iron Maiden, and The NWOBHM influenced music! Prepare to ride the steel! https://www.facebook.com/RIOTCITYOFFICIAL In/Vertigo In/Vertigo erupted onto the scene in the early 21st century. A concoction of showmanship and the jet engine decibels of a Rock n' Roll Boeing 747, the quartet is lead by vocalist Reed Alton, and guitarist Shaddy Elsaghir, alongside the heartbeat, bassist Duncan McCartney and groove layer, Keaton Byfield. Loud and proud, these gents are old school, and I'm not talking just about their sound. Imagine an era of 1950s pseudo "Greaser" type gangs; kindred, convicted and stirring with emotion. Armed with a sonic Molotov cocktail aimed at the music underworld, In/Vertigo is the quintessential Rock n' Roll act. https://www.facebook.com/getinvertigo Hrom Traditional Power Metal band from Calgary, Alberta. Noche mágica de NWOBHM de la mano de Diamond Head con unos dignos teloneros como Aerial Blacked. Ver a Brian Tatler tocar riffs y solos clásicos del heavy metal a un metro de distancia no tiene precio.

Brick By Brick
October 31st 2016
I tried to rank it at five stars, but for whatever reason it will only allow me to go as high as 4 1/2. Great venue, friendly and helpful staff, fair prices on tickets and cocktails, great sound quality, the band performed at the highest level imaginable and opening bands were pretty good too. My only beef with brick by brick is that they do not allow in and out privileges. I had hoped to see the original singer of Diamondhead, however, the new guy rock hard!
