Have your kids ever tuned into a song and wondered just how that piece of music was created? Have their curious young minds pondered how a composer can string together so many different notes and instruments to create something that sounds amazing? San Francisco Symphony conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser will help music-lovers of all ages unlock the mysteries of music-making with "Stringing It All Together". This mid-afternoon audio adventure at Davies Symphony Hall takes apart great works of music -- from Beethoven to Bob Marley -- and puts them back together again. With the help of soprano Ann Moss and the rest of the symphony, kids will learn the building blocks of music, including pitch, rhythm and melody. Plus, little early birds can put their fingers to work doing pre-show activities like the instrument petting zoo and coloring stations.
