Something's coming, and it's something good -- the San Francisco Symphony's season-long celebration of composer-conductor Leonard Bernstein's 100th birthday rolls on, with Maestro Michael Tilson Thomas at the helm, joined by the SF Symphony Chorus and guest vocalists. This Davies Hall concert kicks off with principal clarinetist Carey Bell leading the way on the jazz-infused "Prelude, Fugue and Riffs", followed by the joyful choral work "Chichester Psalms", sung in Hebrew, and "Arias and Barcarolles", set to feature mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and bass-baritone Ryan McKinny. "Symphonic Dances from West Side Story" provides the perfect capper to this section of the salute.
