This is a seated show. Charlie Parr's Friday, October 27th set will be acoustic, while the Saturday, October 28th set will be electric. Tickets are available online, by phone, ​and at Depth of Field, Electric Fetus, and The Cedar during shows. $15 student ticket advance and day of show available online, by phone and at the door the night of the show (based on availability). Must show student ID at the door.

I want to be Charlie Parr when I grow up. Need I say more? PS: wish he wasn't pressed on timing to let the following show come on. PS2: room is limited and the floor at Mercury Lounge is all at the same level, so if you're short, either get there early to save a spot up front or close your eyes and remember it's sound you came for.

Charlie Parr is an incorruptible outsider who writes novelistic, multi-layered stories that shine a kaleidoscopic light on defiant, unseen characters thriving in the shadows all around us. Parr has a new record with only his name on it, and it isn’t shiny and perfect and commercial and catchy. It’s him. It’s pure Charlie Parr and that’s enough. He hasn’t moved to LA or Nashville; he’s stayed in the cold grey north of Minnesota, because that’s his home.
