The Center for Jewish History
15 West 16th Street, New York, NY 10011
International Ladino singer-songwriter Sarah Aroeste weaves together traditional Judeo-Spanish folk songs and stories from her personal family history for her multi-media interactive presentation, "Ladino Music Transformed from Yesterday to Today". Using sound clips, videos and live music, she'll give a taste of how her work is pushing the Ladino envelope today. Performing as part of the American Sephardi Music Festival, Aroeste will demonstrate her unique linguistic interpretations, modern technologies and contemporary musical arrangements at New York's Center for Jewish History.
