Roy and Revelation

Revelation was organized in 1996 under the leadership of James Adams, Jr. where they frequently sang around their hometown of Hopkins, South Carolina. After some time had passed, James Adams resigned from the group leaving a vacancy for a lead singer. Roy, originally the bass player, was handed the torch to continue at the age of fifteen. It was important, however, that he first understand the true meaning of Revelation. As described by their mother, Revelation is revealing knowledge and understanding of God’s word not only through preaching, but also through the ministry of song.

Roy and Revelation was signed to Four Winds Records under the legendary Malaco Records Music Group Imprint in 2012 which was a childhood dream come true for this group. From soul stirring and convicting lyrics to dance tunes for all ages to enjoy, Roy and Revelation has won the hearts of Gospel music lovers across the nation.

Where there is great success and a boundless anointing, one can be certain that an attack will closely follow. In August of 2013, Roy encountered a life threatening attack on his body that united the entire quartet industry in prayer. The penned hits Prayer Will Change Things and Doctor Jesus, written by Roy, became more than just songs for us to enjoy, but they became his very testimony and a true reason to really tell God Thank You.

With his newly released album, Blest by the Best, Roy Ladson has solidified his relevance in Gospel Music with an updated and mature sound. Amidst all adversities, he has found the motivation to continue in his purpose just knowing that God continues to make a way out of no way.
